Instinct
Original Grain-Free Recipe with Real Chicken
Instinct Original Grain-Free Recipe with Real Chicken has a Puglib score of 5.3 out of 10 (Good, 2 of 4 bones) for adult dogs. It is made for adult and senior. Its main proteins are chicken. It has less usable protein per calorie than most foods we score.
Score
The Puglib score combines protein (quality on amino acids, and usable protein per calorie against a dog's need) with fat (the AAFCO minimums, plus credit for omega-3s). The protein requirement depends on life stage, so the score can differ by stage:
| Life stage | Puglib score | Rating | Protein | Fat |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Adult | 5.3 / 10 | Good | 4.7 / 10 | 7.1 / 10 |
| Senior | 5.2 / 10 | Good | 4.7 / 10 | 6.9 / 10 |
